There are two passions in my life. One of those is sports, and the other is helping people.
Offering Sports Massage and Kinesiology taping is the perfect way to combine my two favourite things. My other service offerings allow me to help, support, and share in the joy of others.
Having competed in many sporting events: cycle races large and small, many half marathons, and being an Ironman finisher allows me to understand, from personal experience, the strains and injuries sports can bring.
I love what I do. Each day is an opportunity: to share my enjoyment of life, knowledge, and experience with others to help them achieve optimal health.
What is Holistic Healing?
Holistic Therapies have been around for thousands of years and were used frequently in ancient Egypt, China, and India for their therapeutic effects. Holistic care is the care of the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Our mind enables us to be aware of the world around us, and of our experiences. It is to think and to feel. It is consciousness and thought. Our body is our physical shell. It needs to be maintained optimally to ensure health, ability, and longevity. Spirit is the non-physical part of a person. Often the hardest to define, it is the character and the soul. It is the seat of our emotions. It is what makes us who we are. What expresses our uniqueness!
The holistic approach to health differs from the conventional medical approach in that it considers the whole patient rather than just focusing on the symptom or the problem. Holistic therapists believe that the body has a vital life force or energy. It is this force that protects the body from illness and allows healing. We commonly refer to it as the “immune system”. When the balance within is disturbed, we see various symptoms of diseases.
By treating all aspects of the person, the balance is restored naturally.
